Fall’s back with Plaid

Mini plaid skirts have become an essential layering piece of clothing in my wardrobe. Since the beginning of the year, I vowed to try new and different things, and plaid was definitely one of the new things I've tried and I am loving it! I found this beautiful red plaid pleated skirt at H&M and it was on SALE. There was only one left and it was my size! So, I just decided that it was just meant to be, and got it for as cheap as $15.

These photos were shot about a week ago and it's just crazy how the weather has drastically changed since. The weather was nice and chilly enough for me to style the plaid skirt with a black crop top shirt, and some see through tights and as you've seen repeatedly on the blog, my OTK boots from ALDO.

It was a very gloomy day when we shot this, so I had to play a little with the editing to make these pictures pop.
I hope you guys enjoy this look!

Fall in Plaid

Happy 1st Blog Anniversary to me! On this day last year, I posted my first blog and my life has changed ever since. I have learned so much and I have developed a real passion for this little blog of mine. And I want to thank you all for being on this journey with me.

I randomly love going on my site to see my content. It inspires me to find new ideas, and I like how cute and neat everything looks, but most importantly, I like how everything is finally up-to-date and fully functional (it was definitely a struggle).

I have learned a lot during this past year. I try to look at things from different perspectives in order to come up with interesting content for you. I've read tons of blog posts, and I have been inspired to do so much more. I have traveled and discovered so much. I have read articles, listened to podcasts, watched hundreds of YouTube videos. I just love how exhilarating and educating the blogger community has been for me.

When I look back at my posts from last year, I feel like I have improved on creating better quality content on the blog, as well as on my Instagram. For sure, I still have so much to learn, but I promise, I have so many cool ideas coming your way soon.

I specifically chose this outfit because it's a replica of my very first blog outfit. Ever since, I have learned to better edit my pictures, by playing with the lighting and some of the colours. I find it so therapeutic to edit my photos: I pretty much do it whenever I have some free time (on the bus, while watching TV, or in between my classes). You can definitely see the difference in my photos now compared to back then.

All my photos have been taken from my iPhone X and the quality from my phone camera is pretty decent. But I have my eyes set on the perfect camera, that I am hoping to get by the end of this year or maybe beginning of next year (depending on how broke I am LOL)

Anyway, back to the outfit, this is probably one of my favourite outfits to wear during fall. It's just perfect for this season; a plaid flannel dress shirt with an over the knee boots. As easy and as simple as that! I am not a morning person , so this outfit is my go-to. You will definitely find me wearing this look all the time. Like I said, I like it simple (if you didn't know that by now)

Sweater Weather

Welcome back everyone! If you're from Canada, you already know that it's starting to feel like fall now even though the weather has been so confusing these last few days. Fall for me means that I get to reorganize my closet and pull out all my favourite sweaters. And this specific one definitely makes it to my Top 3 list. I own this sweater in all the different colours that were available in the H&M store : royal blue, burgundy, grey, and olive green. And I love them ALL!

I recently saw a mustard and light pink version of this sweater in their store but I didn't get a chance to get my hands on them since the lineup was too crazy but rest assured, I will be going back for them! This sweater has such an amazing texture; is not too thick and not too thin, making it perfect to wear for fall or to pair with a jacket during winter.
It's loose, comfortable, cute and has an affordable price tag. They're $14.99!

For this look, I paired this olive green knit sweater with my comfortable black skinny jeans from DKNY, my favourite black Over The Knee boots from ALDO and my old western faux leather from Urban Planet (which I have totally been obsessed with BTW).

Summer Dress

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian readers! I am absolutely loving this Canadian holiday since it coincides with my reading week and I could really use a break from university right now! Well technically, I still have assignments to get done, and I still have some studying to catch up on, but I am more than happy to break away from my daily student routine...

I can't believe it's October already! This is the season for pumpkin spice lattes, fall-coloured leaves, cozy knit sweaters, knee-length boots and everything fall-related. It's unbelievable how quickly time flies! I swear feel like 2018 just started; how are stores selling 2019 calendars and planners already?
With fall rolling-on, even though the weather is all over the place, and I am officially having summer blues, I am glad that it was nice enough yesterday for me to wear this beautiful dress.

About this dress, I bought from Tahari at Hudson Bay. I fell in love with it the minute I tried it on. But the price tag totally ripped my heart off, even though the dress was on SALE. I initially debated if I should keep the dress or not, but I mean, it fits me like a glove. It's like this dress was made just for ME! It's sleeveless and has this perfect flow to it, and it wraps perfectly around my waist. The length is just perfect; not too long and not too short either. And it has this soft texture to it.

I paired this dress with my block ALDO heels in black and did a simple French braid. And to be honest, no other accessory was needed because the dress complements itself.
